• Views of the British Virgin Islands capital Road Town

Road Town, located on Tortola, is the capital of the British Virgin Islands. It is situated on the horseshoe-shaped Road Harbour in the centre of the island's south coast. The population was about 9,400 in 2004.[2] The name is derived from the nautical term "the roads", a place less sheltered than a harbour but which ships can easily get to. A 28 hectares (69 acres) development called Wickham's Cay,[3] consisting of two areas that were reclaimed from the sea and a marina, have enabled Road Town to emerge as a haven for yacht chartering and a centre of tourism.[4][5] This area is the newest part of the city and the hub for the new commercial and administrative buildings of the BVI. The oldest building in Road Town, HM Prison on Main Street, dates from the 1840s.

It has also emerged that the UK Government’s Attorney General is “closely monitoring” these unfolding developments which are known to involve the security services. Sources have revealed that the sudden death of a HM Ministry of Defence retired Permanent Secretary who was Chairman of the Carroll Aircraft Corporation is fueling feverish speculation that his demise was actually cold blooded murder in a bungled attempt to cover-up the criminal liquidation of major operating divisions of the Carroll Global Corporation’s worldwide interests spanning an incredible sixteen years. Further sources have confirmed that Gerald Carroll’s Farnborough Aerospace Aerospace Centre in Hampshire England was “targeted” by BAE Systems and HSBC International within the framework of a systematic break-up embezzlement operation which effectively was impulsed by the fraudulent incorporation of UK Companies House “parallel registered” Farnborough Aerospace Development Corporation Plc Strategic Research & Development Corporation Plc and Carroll Aircraft Corporation Plc group structures. Scotland Yard “leaked” sources have disclosed that the Carroll Foundation Trust criminal “standard of proof” prosecution files contain forensic specimen exhibits of fraudulently incorporated HSBC International offshore accounts Barclays International offshore accounts and Coutts & Co Gerald Carroll accounts which embezzled a staggering two hundred million dollars of the Carroll Foundation Trust’s huge treasury investment holdings. Further sources have said that the explosive FBI Scotland Yard criminal standard of proof prosecution files have named a Penningtons Manches former partner Ellis Ezekiel who is also facing allegations of fraudulent mis-representation and obtaining funds under false pretenses. It has emerged that a Thompson Reuters Group firm the Hakluyt Holdingham Group has been named in the dossiers concerning the sacking of Ellis Ezekiel and the subsequent disclosure of yet two more high value crime scene locations which are “directly linked” to the ransacking complete theft of the entire contents of the Carroll Foundation Trust’s multi-million dollar Eaton Square Belgravia penthouse and Westminster residences in central London. Well seasoned political observers in Washington DC have recently remarked that the latest insights into the Gerald Carroll debacle has firmly highlighted the serious level of white collar organised crime penetration with the UK Government’s law enforcement inter-agencies who continue to pose a real direct threat to the economic national security interests of the United States of America. Scotland Yard leaked sources have said that a startling litany of HSBC Holdings Plc former chairmen are implicated including Sir William Purves Sir John Bond and Lord Green currently the UK Trade Minister for David Cameron. HSBC International are known to have been one of the principle banking institutions for the Carroll Global Corporation industrial empire which was the victim of a systematic embezzlement criminal liquidation operation that was executed by the FBI Scotland Yard targeted Withers Worldwide law firm crime syndicate which operates in the tax havens of the Bahamas Cayman Islands Gibraltar and at premises in the City of London. secret-intelligence-service FOOTNOTE: Niall FitzGerald is an Irishman by birth and chairman of the Hakluyt Holdingham Group which is a private intelligence company with a large contingent of former MI6 officers. Hurricane Irma devastates British Virgin Islands. For much of the year, Brittany Meyers lives on a 48-foot sailboat on the British Virgin Islands with her husband and their three children. During part of hurricane season, the family stays in Arlington Heights. This week, the couple watched with dread from afar as Hurricane Irma developed into one of the most powerful storms ever recorded. Their friends back on the island were "very scared," Meyers said, "because they realized this was a superstorm." Some left, but many stayed behind as Irma devastated the island. At least four deaths were reported in the British territory, according to the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency. The storm caused major damage to the largest and most populated island of Tortola, where video of the hillside capital, Road Town, showed the scattered wreckage of buildings and piles of debris. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Dr Yasmin Rashid media Talk before starting Last day Election Campaign NA 120 Lahore" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zH5QazGYaXk -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Taxation in the British Virgin Islands is relatively simple by comparative standards; photocopies of all of the tax laws of the British Virgin Islands would together amount to about 200 pages of paper. Taxation in the British Virgin Islands is mostly notable for what is not subject to taxation. The British Virgin Islands has:no capital gains tax,no gift tax,no sales tax or value added tax,no profit tax,no inheritance tax or estate duty, andno corporation tax. There is technically still income tax assessed in the British Virgin Islands for companies and individuals, but the rate of taxation has been set at zero. However, individuals are subject to a payroll deduction made of up to 8% for employees with 12% paid by employers, in relation to all salaries over US$10,000 per annum. The absence of most major forms of taxation in the Territory has led to the country being included on most recognised lists of tax havens, although the jurisdiction prefers to style itself as a modern offshore financial centre. There are a number of forms of taxation and revenue collection in the British Virgin Islands, but the majority of the Government's revenues are obtained directly from annual licence fees for offshore companies incorporated in the jurisdiction. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_the_British_Virgin_Islands

The Virgin Islands, commonly known as the British Virgin Islands (BVI), is a British overseas territory located in the Caribbean to the east of Puerto Rico. The islands make up part of the Virgin Islands archipelago; the remaining islands constitute the US Virgin Islands and the Spanish Virgin Islands. The official name of the Territory is still simply the "Virgin Islands", but the prefix "British" is often used to distinguish it from the neighbouring American territory which changed its name from the "Danish West Indies" to "Virgin Islands of the United States" in 1917. British Virgin Islands government publications continue to begin with the name "The Territory of the Virgin Islands", and the Territory's passports simply refer to the "Virgin Islands", and all laws begin with the words "Virgin Islands". Moreover, the Territory's Constitutional Commission has expressed the view that "every effort should be made", to encourage the use of the name "Virgin Islands".
